Why You Want A Digital Nomad As Your Marketing Consultant

Post-pandemic, remote work exploded. Traditional in-person office jobs were replaced by Zoom meetings, Slack channels, and hybrid work schedules, and with it came a new wave of people: the digital nomads. You’ve probably heard the term and wondered, “What does that even mean?”

A digital nomad is a person who uses technology and a global internet connection to work remotely while traveling the world. They live and work in different countries, cultures, and time zones.

That’s me! I decided that I didn’t want to waste my twenties and thirties sitting behind a desk in an office. Instead, I wanted to see the world and live in different environments. So, I grabbed my laptop, said goodbye to a single home base, and set off on an adventure.

So far, I’ve traveled to 26 countries and lived in seven: the United States, Scotland, England, Germany, Austria, New Zealand, and Malawi. And I’m not done yet! I’ve got my next year of travel planned with new living locations, a few new countries, and an exciting backpacking trip around South America.

This lifestyle has taught me more, challenged me more, and inspired me more than any corporate cubicle ever could. It’s made me a sharper, more creative marketing consultant capable of bringing a unique edge to your brand.

Culturally Savvy & Globally Connected

Thanks to social media, every business has a global reach. Your brand can reach a bigger audience than ever before. However, not every business is equipped for being globally connected, and many struggle to craft messages that truly resonate across cultures.

As a digital nomad, I've:

  • Navigated cultural nuances in 26 countries

  • Adapted my tone and style to fit each region

  • Spotted trends that travel across borders, and those that stay in local markets

  • Analyzed global competition to know how brands can stand out

I’ve worked with brands on every continent (except Antarctica… yet!), and I know how to position your message to capture attention from major markets like New York and London, to niche markets like local business networks and mom-and-pop storefronts. I can help your brand speak to any audience, anywhere.

Master of the Digital Landscape

Even classic, brick-and-mortar stores need to have a strong online presence. From organic buzz to paid campaigns, digital marketing builds your business. Everyone is online. Different generations discover brands on different platforms:

  • Boomers & Gen X using Google searches

  • Millennials scrolling Pinterest & LinkedIn

  • Gen Z & Gen Alpha glued to TikTok & Instagram

Anything online about your business–your owned, paid, and earned media–builds your brand’s story. Are you proactively shaping that narrative? I help businesses:

  • Develop a strategic digital presence that’s easy to find and follow

  • Foster online communities that amplify your voice

  • Choose the right platforms and tactics for lasting impact

My own business runs entirely online, so I’ve done the research, tested the tools, and live the strategies I recommend.

Adaptable, Resourceful & Unflappable

“We’re looking for someone who’s innovative, resourceful, calm under pressure, a self-starter, able to pivot quickly…” If those soft skills sound familiar, it’s because they’re on every marketing job posting. But what really builds those skills? Is it working a classic, highly predictable 9-5? Sometimes. Or is it traveling the world, facing unpredictable, often uncomfortable situations for years?

As a digital nomad, I use high-pressure skills every single day. Traveling full-time, I:

  • Figure out public transit systems in foreign languages after 14-hour flights

  • Navigate unfamiliar cities when I’m tired, hungry, and ready for a shower

  • Solve unexpected challenges from language barriers, to lost luggage, and surprising cultural expectations

So, helping you write an on-brand newsletter that increases engagement? Piece of cake. It’s normal for founders to be overwhelmed by marketing their businesses. Your brand is your passion project. You’ve poured so much time and energy into your business, and you want others to understand it the way you do. That can be a lot of pressure to put on your marketing. But don’t worry, I’ve survived way more stressful situations on my travels. I’ll be your port in any marketing storm.

With a master’s in marketing and a decade of experience, I bring both the hard skills and the real-world grit needed to accomplish your project. Whatever your problem is, we’ve got this!

Fresh Eyes & Innovative Ideas

When you’re so involved in your own business, it’s hard to spot the areas of opportunity and even harder to let go of tactics that are no longer working. A digital nomad can help you see your business in a whole new light. I shake things up with:

  • Fresh perspectives drawn from working with entrepreneurs around the world

  • Innovative solutions inspired by my ever-expanding cultural ‘toolbox’

  • A lifelong learner’s mindset, since every new country teaches me more

Whether it’s a bold promotion I saw in Berlin or a community-building tactic from a Malawi start-up, I bring that global knowledge and inspiration straight to your brand.
